Stillness

September 7th, 2018

I fall asleep to rumbling engines and honking horns.

I wake up and see a brick building apartment staring back at me. Sometimes it's early enough that rising sun reflects on the waking sky. I see hues of pinks and blues dancing together above the faint hum of a city that never sleeps.

There's constant life that fills the streets. Faint music dancing in the wind, laughter running down the side walk, watching lights like eyes always watching.

Everything is new. And I am happier than I could ever be.

As Always,
Rachel.
